Under 15s Cluster against Bridgewater

Once again we received a warm welcome from Oakmedians, our host, for the first cluster match of the season. The under 15s team consisted of girls from North Dorset, Oaks, Sherborne with Dorchester contributing to half of the Cluster side (known from now on as the “BLUES”). The first half was dominated by the Blues with good scrummage work and strong tackles. The poor weather conditions made for a slippery ball and tricky ball handling. Nevertheless there were some great runs made by Briony, Molly and Libby in their debut match with the first try being scored soon after the starting whistle. The score at the end of the first half:41 - 0 to the Blues. Bridgewater, who are never ones to give in, dug deep and after some fine work in the mid field scored their first try early in the second half. In response, there was a great move off the top of the Blues line out and after sterling work by Anna in the centre, Jess scored a try via a super diagonal run. Lots of kicking opportunities for Alice today; who managed to kick 3 conversions. Final score the Blues 51 - 12 Bridgewater

Under 18s

It was wet, it was sunny and a smidge windy at times but the Dorset cluster team started strong with try number 1 in the first 5 minutes followed by a successful conversion. The girls continued to go from strength to strength some spectacular tackles from Bryde And Alice amazing defence work from Tula And Luna, with Dorchester’s Jazz, Robyn and Jenna scoring tries for the Team. During the second half Bridgwater made a good come back scoring 2 tries and 1 conversion with the Dorset cluster continuing with their tries making the final score 45-12 to the Dorset cluster A great game girls well done all.
