It is with deep sadness that Dorchester Rugby Football Club have to report the death of a legendary second row forward, David Piles at the age of 85 years.
David will be well known to many former players, having played at both Dorchester and Weymouth and Portland Rugby Football Clubs' where he was always held in the highest regard.
I had the pleasure of knowing David for over 40 years, as a second-row partner and as a friend, I will miss him and our rugby chats over a large whisky or two, a true gentleman of the 'old school'.
Dorchester Rugby Football Club send their sincere condolences to David's wife, Pat, their son's, Matthew and Andrew and all the family, may he rest in peace.
