It’s hard to believe that the summer is coming to a close and the start of the Rugby season is upon us.

You would have been forgiven if you thought it was December as it was a freezing, wet and windy welcome at North Dorset today. However that didn't dampen the desire of the Dorchester's under 18 and 15 girls to get back out on the green grass.

Under 18's

In the under 18's Robyn, Jenna and Tula clustered with Yeovil against a strong North Dorset and Oaks team. As we have come to expect, these girls played with guts and determination. However ND/ Oaks proved to be too strong to breakthrough and the Final score was ND/Oaks 15 - Yeovil 10.

Under 15's

In the under 15's Alice B and Rosie joined Yeovil team for their first under 15s match. Rosie who played full back displayed true grit by making many successful tackles and passes. Alice illustrated flare out on the wing including scoring a try for the opposition. Well done girls. As the weather worsened, the other girls who played in a Dorchester/ND/Oaks mix (known as the pinks), dusted off the summer break and exhibited some good tackling, rucking, kicking and try scoring skills. It was less than ideal conditions, but nevertheless some entertaining games from you all today. Well done Jess, Anna, Anya and Alice C. Final Score The Pinks 54 Yeovil 39

It looks like it's going to be an interesting season!
