Before Dorchester A's 27-0 friendly win over Poole, Clayson Scaffolding managing director Leigh Cornick presented Dorchester chairman Tony Foot with the new apparatus.
Clayson sponsor Dorchester's player development fund and this new addition for the coaching team to use in analysing team and player performance will prove invaluable to the community club.
This new device can analyse both games and training programmes, tracking individual player performance and give the coaches of any team a large amount of data.
This can then enable more structured match debriefs, better-planned training modules in specific areas, give players opportunities to critique their own performances and lend the coaches clear sight of team strengths to work on.
All teams across the age groups will have access to this new performance asset and it will also give the club the ability to live-stream matches.
Head coach Josh Ovey said: “This new tool will really aid our coaching teams across all age groups to analyse and play in one structure across the club, making sure we develop our young players and integrate them as they move up through the age groups.
“Our two senior teams in the leagues will be able to spend valuable time together reviewing their matches and identifying areas for improvement as well as their undoubted strengths.
"I would like to thank Leigh for facilitating this through the development fund he so generously sponsors.”
Foot added: “As a community club this will bring all the coaching teams closer together to develop our players.
"We have been fortunate over the years to have many players move through the age groups to senior level.
"Many will know of our recent success in developing young girls and boys as rugby players, who have now gone on to represent professional clubs in both England and Wales and represent their respective countries.
"The club always strives to give the best coaching available to our players of all ages.”
Dorchester had no game this weekend but return to Counties One Tribute Southern South action on Saturday against Swanage & Wareham at Bestwall.
