Following last weekend’s big win over Swanage and Wareham, this weekend Dorchester travel to Bridport for their Wadworth6X Dorset & Wilts League 1 South fixture.
Taking an unbeaten run into the game and currently lying second on the table on points difference, Dorchester will be looking to continue the run.
Training this week has seen strong numbers and the recent selection difficulties have eased with players back from injury. Club Captain James Newsam returns to the side brining not just his ability but experience and leadership also.
Having watched the footage of the game against Swans Coach Ben Parker commented “Rich Bament and I along with the coaching team were pleased with what we saw, however we need to keep moving forward as a squad and if we are to develop even more we need to find areas to work on and improve.”
“We are confident we can achieve another 5 points this weekend, and we need the players to stay focused and take the positives from last weekend into this game, and to come away from Bridport with the win.”
Dave Cottell is rested for the game after picking up a minor injury but Andrew McCreedy steps in at loose head for his first team starting debut after a strong performance from the bench against Swanage & Wareham. Tom Evans returns to the front row and Harry Charlier makes his first team debut. The game kicks off at Bridport at 3pm.
